THE FEED RACING FRANCE WINNER WITH THE CARLIN TEAM IN THE BRITISH F4 CHAMPIONSHIP

Paris – 15th of April 2019 – With under a month to go to the first training course (20-21-22 April) at Magny Cours, Feed Racing France has announced the official destination chosen for the winner of its new Volant award. After the five-day course followed by the quarter finals, semi-finals and final the winner will race in the 2020 British F4 Championship with the Carlin team.

Feed Racing France, founded by Jacques Villeneuve and Patrick Lemarié, has provided a wide-open opportunity for the greatest possible number of candidates by selecting the best driver
exclusively on criteria of talent and fairness. The search for the future greats from all over the world in motor sport will go through the selection of young talented male and female drivers of all nationalities aged between 14 and 21 at the wheel of F4 Mygale.

To achieve its aims Feed Racing France has chosen the iconic English team, Carlin, famous for its heritage in fostering young talent. It is also involved in the British F4 Championship in addition to its programmes in F3, F2, Indy Car and the ELMS. Thus the FRF winner will be driving a Carlin F4 in the 2020 British F4 Championship.

In 2019 Carlin has entered 17 cars in five championships on three continents. Trevor Carlin’s team has won nine English F3 titles, three in Renault 3.5, two in GP3 and six in British F3 scoring a total of 380 victories and 1000 podiums! Last year it became the only English outfit to win on American soil with a double in Indy Lights. More than 350 drivers have cut their teeth with Carlin from Sebastian Vettel to Lando Norris plus Kevin Magnussen, Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo.
The British F4 Championship comprises up to 30 races in Mygale single-seaters.

Jacques Villeneuve, founder of Feed Racing France
“The fact that the winner of our new Feed Racing France Volant will join the Carlin team in the British F4 Championship is really great news as it has enormous experience in motor sport, in particular in the training of young drivers. I think it’s the ideal place for the future winner of the Feed Racing France to hone his/her skills and fight for the win. England is still the heart of motorsport and it’s where almost all the F1 teams are based. Learning the ropes there is a big bonus as it’s where great champions have blossomed starting with Ayrton Senna. And, of course, it’s where you learn the basics of driving in the rain!”

Patrick Lemarié, founder of Feed Racing France
“We’re very proud of the fact that the 2019 Feed Racing France winner will join the Carlin team to race in the 2020 British F4 Championship. Carlin is a benchmark worldwide in terms of professionalism and performance in all categories. What an extraordinary opportunity this is for a young driver, male or female, to begin his/her career in such conditions. That’s exactly why we have created Feed Racing France with the desire to offer our talented youngsters a real chance to show their potential and become professional drivers. We share this vision with Trevor Carlin. The aims we stated right from the start have been respected. Our first selection group will take place at Magny-Cours on 20-21-22 April and I’m convinced that the name Carlin will be going round in the heads of all our young talents!”

Trevor Carlin, the president of Carlin
“We’re delighted to have been chosen as the host team for the winner of the Feed Racing France Volant. At Carlin our stated aim has always been to help young drivers to develop their full
potential. It’s all the more important when you’re taking your first steps in motor sport. It’s where everything’s decided. That’s why Jacques Villeneuve’s and Patrick Lemarié’s initiative is fantastic and we’re proud to be a part of it. They have such a lot of experience that I’ve no doubt that Feed Racing France will be a big success and offer young drivers a great opportunity.”
